06/08/07 at 02:29 PM Maria I just got a phone call from Oakley Manring and his wife Mary and they are coming to the picnic. Mary said she will be bringing fried chicken, country ham biscuits, and a two liter of Mountain Dew.!!! Oakley's father Powell Manring was Fannie Lawson's brother. So Oakley is Fannie's nephew. Oakley is a wonderful Baptist Minister and has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. Maria

06/13/07 at 01:17 PM Matt32 hey guys, just for the (legal) record; we have to state this this isn't an official company event, it's organized by the members of the forum; any participation is voluntary, and we assume no liability for injunes or mishaps that may occur, so remember, chew Every bite of that chicken wing 32x, wait at least 1/2 an hour After the chicken wing to swim, and if you're no good at swimming, stay out of the pool, and tap your toes to the tunes with me. I'd say 'dance with me', but I'm with Norman Mailer here; Tough Guys Don't Dance (at least those, like me, who have no rhythm don't). sorry, this is one of the facets of running a company; we have to protect ourselves from any sort of liability constantly, so we're not diverting much needed resources to legal defenses that can arise out of nowhere with little or no warning, it's in no way a reflection on anyone here or attending, just a CYA maneuver that we've learned over time is Always necessary.
That said, I look forward to seeing everyone there and having a safe, enjoyable afternoon!
