I'll dedicate 2 thighs and a Pork Chop Casserole to you Will. Can't wait until you come to see me for Thanksgiving. I'll raise a chicken leg in my left hand for Brian and 2 thighs in my right hand for Will and get someone to take a picture of me doing that for you!!!! P.S. Is a thigh and a chicken leg the same thing? I can't remember.

I too got tired of LuvMyDog's drama. Not only did she like drama, she liked creating it. I don't think she will show up but if she does there are measures in place to convince her it is in her best interest to leave.

Germanton Park. That's what the sign at the entrance to it says. It's on Highway 8 in Germanton.

I just spoke with Richard Rutledge and he said that yes they are calling for rain tomorrow but that it will rain an hour at most and that it will be early in the morning. So THE PICNIC IS STILL ON!!!!!! And you are right Angel, it will be great. I just got through boiling 15 potatos so I will make the potato sald around 11 this morning.

Right now it doesn't sound like there is going to be a lot of rain just a little windy. The picnic is going to be great. Just a few more hours to go. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

The weather was slightly awful but the camaraderie was to die for!!!! It was wonderful, absolutely wonderful visiting, laughing, meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Sissy and Angel did a dynamite job with decorating the shelter for Halloween....bats, pumpkins witches and ghosts swung from the raters of the shelter with the wind doing a great job blowing them around. a huge inflatable pumpkin with a skeleton sitting in a chair beside it delighted the children who posed for photographs around it, a trick-or-treat doll belted out "Boo, did I scare you" every time anyone walked by it, ceramic pumpkins and ghosts adorned each of the 15 tables where we ate, Susan and Ruth wearing matching "Spider Capes was adorable as was Sissy in her Lion's suit, Benton dressed as the tin man had a blast jumping up and down in a huge mud puddle, Seth was perfect dressed as wolf man while I was dressed as the Candy Corn Witch. When it was all over 3 hours later Sissy and Angel and Bobby helped take everything down . I cannot thank you enough dear friends for all your help in making the Charlie Lawson Message Forum Picnic a huge success!!!. I will post photos of the party on Monday. I'm recuperating today!!!! Everyone had a really great time in spite of the weather. The decorations were awesome. Thanks to Sissy and Angel. It certainly put me in a more Halloween spirit. I enjoyed meeting everyone. Maria was great as the "Candy Corn Witch". A special "thank you" to Cameron for helping Ruth and I get our food out of the car. We enjoyed all of the children and especially to Benton for the mud puddle show. All of the food was delicious. The picnic was a great success. Thanks to Maria for getting all of this together. THANK YOU MARIA!!!!!!!

You are sooooo welcome Susan. We laughed at Mother Nature when she sent the rain (basically ignoring her) and going on with our plans to have a wonderful day with old friends, new friends, good food, fun and a love for Halloween. She'll (Mother Nature) be nursing her wounds for some time to come. Bobby Wayne Manring sent me the photos he took at the picnic. I will add the ones I took and do a special thread tomorrow where everyone can see them. Angel and Shirry Madison took some too and as soon as I get them I will add them to the thread. We all now have a wonderful set of memories to store in our Memory Bank. Love to all, Maria
