I spoke at length with one of Marion Lawson's grand-daughters last night (thank you Doug for directing me to her in your post). I'll be meeting with her and her sister soon. The good news is that she has Marion Lawson's Bible. His name is written inside with two or three scripture verses listed as well. One in the book of 2Kings and one about a talking donkey from the Old Testament book of Numbers. I'm including a link about that at the bottom of my post. She's going to bring me the Bible and a funeral brochure from Burroughs Funeral Service for Marion and Jettie's son Homer who died between 1921 and 1927. She said Marion's Bible is real real old and the pages are falling out. I'm going to get a picture of the outside of it as well as the inside of it where he wrote his name and those scripture verses and a photo of the Burroughs Funeral Home brochure for Homer. She said there is a sheet of paper as well from the Guest Book where the people who attended the funeral signed their names. This is a wonderful find!!! And a wonderful edition for the Scrapbook!!! She also has Marion Lawson's bedroom suit!!!! I'll take a picture of that too!! Just goes to show you that you never know what else pertaining to the Lawson family is still out there waiting it's turn to fall into my lap!!! Wow Maria....That's awesome! I can't wait to see it either. I agree with you too, that there's no telling how much other stuff is waiting to fall in your lap, that once belonged to the Lawson family.
