I spent this past week-end in Germanton and while doing some shopping at a new antique store I came across a rack of post cards. Someone had taken photos of a bunch of places in Germanton from the 1920's and turned them into Post Cards!!! I bought six of them. The ones I bought are: 1. The old Germanton School 2. The Hardin McGee Store 3. The Bank in Germanton in 1929 4. The Post office in 1929 5. The Pool Hall where Arthur Lawson got into a fight 6. A bank statement from The Germanton Bank with a photo underneath it of a round leather change purse exactly like the one Charlie Lawson had. The purse had the name of the bank on it. I will add these post cards to the Scrapbook.

It sure is!!! The photo was taken in the late 20's when they were attending the school.

I'm more interested in what the bank looked like in 1929.

You took pictures of it when you were here but it's in bad shape now. Do you know which building I'm talking about?

The brick building we took pictures of, that the back wall has fallen down on. I just love old photos and would like to see what it looked like back then.
