Benton is a beautiful child. He had so much energy. I'm sure he keeps you busy Sissy. He really kept us entertained with the mud puddle show. The rain did not hinder Benton at all.

Looks like it was a lot of fun and was a great success. Maybe I should be jealous thought, what with guys picking up the Candy Corn Witch and all.

I was surprised the Stokes Co. Sheriff was there. Did anybody get arrested?

No, we managed ourselves very well. We had to watch the "Candy Corn Witch" but other than that everyone did very well. The Sheriff was a very nice outgoing man. We did all have a good time. Wish you could have been there Brian but Nevada is a long way off. Have you lived in Nevada a long time?

I'm sorry I missed it. I've lived in Nevada since 1994. My mother, 1 brother and sister live in NC, in the Hickory/Conover area, so I get there every now and then to visit, but not all that often. As you said, it's a long way. My wife is from Salisbury, but she has no desire to move back.

I can understand that your wife would not want to move back. I don't guess there is much left in Salisbury. I use to work for Fieldcrest Cannon that had plants in the Kannapolis Salisbury area. All of that is gone now. I'm sure there is so much more in Nevada compared to the Salisbury area. I had wanted to visit Las Vegas but still haven't made it there. A lot of people in this area move to Nevada after retiring. The only draw back I see is the heat. I live just to the North of Greensboro, NC.

Yes, it is very hot here, but it is very dry so that helps. I think I have a bigger problem with high humidity than with high heat. But it did take me a couple years to get used to the heat, and I still don't LIKE it but I deal with it.

Sissy's little Bubba, four year old Benton has trouble pronouncing MARIA so he calls me ARMIA!!! He came up to me at the picnic and said: "Armia, I love your costume. And Armia, I love the decorations. But Armia, what I love the most is YOU. That melted my heart I'll tell you. That permanently sealed my love for the little mud puddle jumper!!!!

I suspect I used to play in pud muddles when I was a kid. We don't get too many of them here in Nevada, and when we do they don't last long.
