to see this brought to light 77 yrs later and to see 2006 it is still 3 huge problem, no one wants to be involved with family problems, what happens at your neighbors house is not your business, wrong look at the dvd and see. the charlie lawson's and the greg pegram's of this world are your neighbors, co-workers etc. What ever name or face you give it terror looks the same m the end the only difference between Charlie and Greg and binladen is we will not brush it under the rug, we become upset and hurt and want to take action to end it. I am glad someone had the courage to bring front and center a rapidly growing problem in small communities all across america. The poem at the end my daughter wrote before her murder in 2004, but could you not see that Charlie's oldest daughter might have being praying for the sarme thing all those years ago? My family is left with a void that can never be filled and so is Charlie lawson's family. Let's put a stop to the senseless taking of lives from domestic violence.

Dear Sharon,
I remember you and your dear grand daughter and grandson when I attended a vigil on domestic violence this summer when you were there. I am so very sorry for your terrible loss, for your sorrow and pain. I so very much agree with you that we should never cease to continue our search for the truth and for the knowledge as to how we can all help in whatever ways we can to prevent future acts of Domestic violence. As you said so eloquently that night..."this affects us all, for it can happen to any one of us." I for one REFUSE to bury my head in the sand. Or to look the other way. Or to lay these things to rest, certainly not as long as one more person becomes, or even so much as "CAN" become, the victim of domestic violence. I saw in your eyes and the eyes of your grandchildren and other members of your family the devastation domestic violence caused you and them. And it tore at my heart to see it. We cannot afford to say "it is none of my business". For it is our business. It is definitely that, and more. When any one of us sees an act of violence committed against another person we cannot afford to walk away, lookthe other way, or stay out of the way. I know I can't. And I won't, no matter how many more times I am called everything but a child of God. For there is no way I can look into another person's eyes and see what I saw in your eyes that night and walk away from that person knowing I had done nothing to help when I could have.

it was an honor and a priviledge getting to meet and work with you. i can't wait to move it forward as this moves
forward.
as anyone who knows me knows, i'm not often speechless, but i'm at a loss for words to describe how grateful i am
to you and your family for opening up to me like you did. history will thank you better than i can anyway, at least in
terms of results, someone tonight asked me if i knew Melissa, and i was sorry to reply that i never had the pleasure.
and that because of a terrible epidemic, i never will.
the struggle to wake up from this nightmare continues for all of us... did u hear the thing on NPR today ? they asked if
I'm sleeping better now that the film's out and man they gotta Quick NO! Now I'm having nightmares about Melissa
Tittle and what happened to her. maybe when we get this shelter up, ill sleep a little easier.
i kept my promise to you though, i took her name and her story to the heart of power in this state, just like i told you
would, i just didn't know then precisely How I'd keep that word, now i do. and i know my dreams much be much less
troubled than yours. I'm sorry.
but what you told me about who You felt directed this film remains one of the greatest compliments I've ever been
paid, as well as a continued call to arms, we ain't done; we're just getting started.
thank you. ill do my best to keep earning yr trust and respect as we carry this story further afield and closer to
home.
