12/20/06 at 02:13 PM ltkruger I have net seer your film but I plan on seeing it to morrow night. I just heard youon NPR and I was overwhelmed with your sensitivity towards domestic violence and the "Cancer" of silence in our communities. I am a survivor of domestic abuse and incest from a family with a long history of such abuses in Appalachia. When I began remembering my childhood and dealing with the memories that were beginning to surface, I searched everywhere for a video/documentary that talked about survivors who had made it. I could not find any... I am sure the last thing you want to do is deal with another "sticky" subject - but if you ever do - there is a great need. Just like domestic violence, incest is a very real family legacy. A film would help shed light on this very dark and shameful oart of our communities.
And Thank you for making your film. It was very courageous.
