Thank you guys very much. That means a lot to me and my family. Yall here at this forum are like family to me, especially Matt and Maria. He had Plasmatic leukemia and they found some in his bone marrow. All I'm glad of is that he isn't in pain any more. I have a nephew that was really close to him is taking it a whole lot better than I thought he would be. He's only 9 but he is a strong little tyke.
He's having a good ole southern funeral, that's what he always wanted in Walkertown. It's at Walkertown Baptist Church off of Sullivantown Road. It starts at 2 but the body will lie in rest for 45 min. prior. But thank you guvs again for the thoughts and wishes, it means a whole lot to all of us. I Love you guys JiNx <Tod>

hey man, u'll get this later I'm sure and since we've been talking all the way through it, I'm a johnny come lately on here, but i gotcha to laugh at something stupid the night before And earlier today, (although u chilled me to Bone with| that story bout the kids in return- and you Bout got me to cry when u told me the high school sweethearts angle, and the cousin story) and u know you're my brother; I'm here when u need me and u know how to get me.
your courage and grace in this dark hour only adds to my admiration for you, which was pretty immense before we ever shot the movie, before you ever died, before all that, i disagree on the name thang, incidentally, very few people are Lucky enough to have l/10th the heart you were born with. And Part of that comes from coming from good people| who the both of us Know WAY beyond the Shadow of anything Like a doubt we'll see again. He's a hundred miles past suffering, pickin up speed toward infinity and we'll listen to bluegrass tomorrow to celebrate him, his life, and his great southern legacy, stay strong for moms and tell her my heart is crushed for her loss, see u tomorrow-

I just wanna thank Maria and Matt for coming to my dads funeral. I really appreciate it, and it meant a lot to my mom. You 2 will always hold a dear place in my heart and if yall EVER need anything I'm just a phone call or an e-mail away. My mom loves you Maria, but hey, who wouldn't. One of the most touching parts of the funeral where i about lost it is when the handed my mother the flag and i looked back and seen Matt with tears in his eyes. Yeah i lost it there, but it was a touching moment. Maria, Matt, i love yall to death and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Thanx JINx

We're just glad we made it there for you Jinx. Something "out there" sure tried hard to keep us from getting there. We ran into a detour because of a wrecked tanker on the side of the road and that threw us off course in our directions. We got lost and stopped 5 or 6 different times to ask where Sullivantown road was and no one in that town knew where it was and one man gave us out right false directions. Even a mailman that we stopped and asked didn't know either even though it was right off main street, that one blew my mind. Mart's determination to not give up and turn back towards home and miss being there for you finally got us there. The church was packed and I think Matt and I got two of the last remaining seats. The minister told a story about a fork that I loved. He said one time this elderly lady said to her Pastor, Pastor Jones, I am going to die soon and I have a favor to ask of you. The pastor said "I will do anything for you, what is it you want me to do?" The minister thought the old lady was going to ask him to bring some flowers there for her or bring a special flower arrangement so he was surprised and confused when she said to him, "when I die and they lay me in my casket, I want you to go buy a fork then bring the fork and put that fork in my right hand." The minister didn't have a clue why she wanted a fork to be placed in her hand so he asked her why she wanted that. The lady replied: "At my Mother's table when we children were finished eating our meals and my mother removed our plates Mother would say to each of us, "hold on to your fork, hold on to your fork." The reason was because the best part of the meal was yet to be served. The dessert. Those hot apple pies and all those other delicious mouth-watering cobblers was the best part of every meal. If you did not have your fork when it was served you didn't get your dessert. So you see Pastor I don't want to be without my fork when I die because the best will be there waiting for me.

Yes i must say that Rev. Phillip Wagoner is an awesome preacher, and did a great sermon. My family has been going to that church for about 40 years if not longer. He even came by afterward to my grandparents house to have a bit to eat. He was very consoling to my mother, brother, nephew and i. My nephew was the one i was worried the most about cause him an my dad were so tight. But he pulled through like a trooper considering he's just 8. He lost his mother to a drug overdose when he was 2, so he's been through a lot. But it just seemed that as soon as Rev. Wagoner walked in the house, he was making my nephew laugh so hard milk came out his nose literally Just goes to show what a good ole down home southern fried preacher he is. We stayed at my grandparents house with him for a few hours afterward, and by the time he left, we were mourning anymore. We were celebrating a outlook on my father. He didn't die, he just moved on to better things. Yeah, we might miss him, but i know for a fact that he's keeping our chairs warm for us when we do finally reach that other side. That's the one thing that's helping me deal with my loss. And Maria, if you liked that sermon, you and Matt should join me one Sunday morning. Its an awesome church. OK Im'a stop babbling here. And thank you once again Matt and Maria for all your support. My mom was still talking last night about how sweet of a lady you are, and she also appreciates you and Matt coming out. She really needed it. Thank you again

Dear Jinx,
Meeting your Mother was a pleasure and an honor for me. She is a beautiful lady inside and outside. In the midst of her own horrendous grief I saw her comforting everyone else. I noticed that about you too. You and your Mother are two very special people. And little Jennie, what a sweetheart she is!!!!!
