WWhat is your favorite haunted house or place? Mine is The Tower Of London in England. I have been to the Tower three times and it is AWESOME. It is a huge complex and very spooky. It was built in 1132 A.D. and hundreds of thousands of people from thieves and traitors to Kings and Queens were imprisoned, tortured, and killed there. There is a ton of physic energy there from those poor unfortunate people who suffered and died in that place.

Because I have stayed there overnight, mine would be the old, abandoned Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (or Weston State Hospital) in Weston, WV. Once I go explore a new place - this answer may change!!!!!!!

I too have been to the Tower of London. I also went to the Whaley House, Old Town San Diego. It is said to be "the most haunted house in the United States". I ain't never seen no haints though.
I'd probably like to go back to Old Town S.D.

The Tower of London is definitely my favorite haunt, even though I've never been. I love reading about it. Thanks for telling us about the Whaley House Brian. I had never heard of it before. And for those of you that don't know about it, I've added a link. Its very interesting. www.turnpike.net/~walk/sandiego/Ghosts/Whaley/default.htm

My favorite haunted place is the Amityville house. That movie Amityville Horror gave me nightmares for a long time. Does anyone in here believe those things really happened? I never could decide if they did or not. One of my favorite t.v. programs is Ghost Hunters. It comes on on Wednesday nights.

I LOVE Ghosthunters!! They are about the only ones on tv that I can put a little belief in!! They don't believe in orbs and they try to debunk everything they find. I think they are great. I love the Amityville story, always have. But no, I don't believe that any of those things happened. So many others have investigated there, and lived there and they report nothing. I believe it was all for publicity. By the way - the people of the Amityville forum once posted some incorrect information about the Lawson Tragedy and we had to go in there and set them straight!! If anyone is interested, here is the link to their forum. It is a wonderful forum for finding out EVERYTHING about the Amityville house! www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard/

Click on "Amityville Discussion". The thread is titled "The Lawson Family Murders" and it's currently on Page 3. Of course that will change as more posts are added every day. I think this link may take you right to the beginning of that thread... www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard/viewtopic.php?t=5312

Thanks Angel, I found the part on the Lawson Family Murders I believe I had read that before especially the part where the Stokes county people were called "backwoods and not very rich". Not especially complimentary. They do have a large forum. It does show how much on the Lawson murders are passed from one person to the other and loses a great deal of truth in the telling. Also instead of watching the documentary this person just took the word of the author of WCBS. That's where Maria's research has helped show the truth.

Amityville Horror was on t.v. late last night so I settled in to watch it (with every light on in the house!!) and either I am more mature than the last time I saw it or I am better informed about the super-natural because not only did it not frighten me, it also seemed incredibly un-believable to me. Those things could not have happened. At least that's my opinion. I almost wish now I hadn't watched it. Maria
