Does anybody know if the directors object if you want to leave flowers on the grave?

There have been flowers left on their grave ever since they were first buried there so I can't see the directors not approving of it. If you can leave flowers on any one person's grave in a cemetery then you can leave flowers on any or every grave there. People leave flowers on graves all the time. No reason why they can't leave them on the Lawson grave. So run up there Sissy and put some on their grave from all of us here. That would be a really nice gesture. If you can't then maybe sometime soon I will. I'll sign the card from all of us here at Break of Dawn productions and the Lawson message Forum.

Thanks, I was asking because I know some cemeteries don't want you to leave flowers. They get in the way of the
mowing.

We can leave the flowers on the top or side sections of the grave rather than on the ground and that way they won't interfere with the mowing. Not all graves have a place you can put flowers directly on the stone itself but the Lawson tombstone does. Also the front of that huge tomstone is covered with gravel where we can also place them. Gravel doesn't need mowing.

Before I forget, I spoke with Doug Wall yesterday. He is the owner of Wall Monument Compay in Winston-Salem. Wall Momument Company is the company that made the Lawson tombstone. Doug said it was his grandfather Lucien Wall who made the tombstone. He assured me as soon as he has time he will go find the records for it and let me know how much it cost, who paid for it, what kind of stone it was made from, etc. Then I will fill everyone in about it.

When my son and I were at the graves a couple of Sunday's ago there was a long stem rose on the grave laying under some leaves at the big tombstone of the Lawson family graves. We pushed the leaves away and were very surprised to see that it had not frozen or anything and was very fresh even if it had been there awhile. We layed it on the bottom of the stone. There were still some long stem Christmas flowers on Arthur's grave but they were faded out. I think it's still nice of people to remember the family even today with flowers.

I for one would never mind anyone putting flowers on my grave some day. I have always believed those we love know we send out prayers and respect from this side. One of the most troublesome fears many of us have is just plain dying and being forgotten. That no trace of who we were or what we loved gone. At least for Charlies children prayers and thoughts still continue from so many. That has to be a good thing from this tragedy.
