Here is a link I made tonight for any pictures anyone should want posted. Send the pics to me and I will add them to the site page. Tell me the name of what it is and if you would like your name added as sender. If you could make pics about 400 pixels or a bit less for load time. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Ladebug and Maria.
The picture of the Germanton School looks like a painting of some sort. Was it a photo taken of a painting or a seen from a postcard or something? Is the school still there?

Hi Captain Blye,
Yes the picture of Germanton School is a painting of it done by the sister of one of the men we interviewed for the documentary. I had to take a photo of the painting which was in a frame covered with glass. I had to take a dozen or more shots of it from every angle but standing on my head just to end up with 2 photos where the glass didn't show a glare from it. This is The Old Germanton School where Marie, Carrie, and Maybelle were students at the time of their deaths. It's referred to as The OLD Germanton School to distinguish it from the newer one built some many years later. And yes the old school is still standing, but barely. It is so decrepit and in such terrible shape and almost totally hidden from sight now by grass and weeds taller and thicker than a grown man that you would not recognize it as the same building in the photo. I have been there several times to see it and have even been inside, but only once, which oh my gosh, scared the living yell out of me. Never ever ever will I go inside that school again, it took an hour inside it just for my knees to quit knocking. Now Ladebug... there is a story you will definitely want to hear.

Hi Cephus,
The Old Germanton School is at the end of the road on Memory Lane in Germanton. It is very dangerous inside so I don't know if I would attempt to go in it or even if we are allowed to. I went inside last spring before I knew I wasn't supposed to.

Hi Sissy,
I meant to put the name on that one because I just added it this week. It is of Marias visit to Lawsonville and she took some interesting pics of old buildings in the area. This is one of those. I will try and put on a few more if anyone is interested in Lawsonville?

Hi Sissy,
It's a photo of the old mercantile store that also had the post office in it back in 1910 when Charlie and Fannie Lawson were growing up there before they were married. They might even have shopped there as well as Charlie and Fannie's parents.

Thanks for the response. I think it would be interesting to see any more pictures that Maria took on her trip to Lawsonville.
And I would like to add that whoever is responsible for the web page and the message forum do an awesome job. It is very informative and it is updated regularly, and there is a lot of good interaction between the members, that is what keeps people interested.
